Turkish Catskiing in Kackar Mountains
Welcome to Eastern Snow’s newest freeride destination! Experience exclusive catskiing in the pristine Kackar Mountains in northeastern Turkey. This is a unique opportunity to explore deep powder snow, steep mountainsides and an authentic off-piste experience far away from the big commercial ski areas.
Why choose catskiing in Turkey?
-
100% off-piste & deep powder snow – Ideal snow conditions from December to March.
-
No lift queues – just pure freeride – we use purpose-built snowcats to reach the best mountainsides.
-
Unique mountain culture – Stay in an authentic mountain village and experience Turkish hospitality.
-
Tailor-made for freeriders – Big open bowls, dense forests and technical lines.
The area – Kackar Mountains
The Kackar Mountains are known for their spectacular scenery and stable snow conditions. With altitudes up to 3,900 meters and snowfall often exceeding 10 meters during the season, this is a true paradise for freeriders. The varied terrain offers everything from open mountain faces to technical tree runs and natural pillows.
What can you expect?
Our experienced guides ensure safety and find the best lines every day. We ride up to 10,000 vertical meters in deep untouched snow. Whether you’re into long, smooth turns in big snowfields or fast, technical lines through the trees, Kackar has something for you.

-
6 days of world-class catskiing.
-
Experienced mountain guides to ensure the best experience.
-
Authentic accommodation in a cozy mountain village.
-
Great Turkish food and hot springs after a long day in the snow.
-
Opportunities for extra activities and local experiences
Ideally, the tour is suitable for skiers and snowboarders who have experience with deep powder and off-piste skiing. You don’t need to have tried catskiing before, but a reasonable level of physical fitness is necessary if we are to move away from the snowcat. On our trips, this has rarely been necessary as the snowfall is stable and the terrain is easily accessible. There will also be plenty of challenges in the forest areas.
The focus of this trip is not the usual comfort conditions of a classic ski vacation. It’s an adventurous freeride experience in cozy company where flexibility is key as we chase the best snow conditions. Expect unforgettable lines in one of the world’s most overlooked powder destinations!

After the day’s skiing, we gather in the warm common room for briefing, fun and freeride movies. WiFi and cellular coverage is available – weather permitting.
